HeadStart Day Nursery is designed to provide working/busy parents with flexible childcare solutions. We are open 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, weekdays, 51 weeks of the year for full day care.
HeadStart Day Nursery has been open since 1995 in a very central location in Horsham Town Centre; it is within easy walking distance of Horsham Train Station (approx 5-10 minutes).
All our staff are fully trained, experienced professionals with 100% holding a Paediatric First Aid qualification . We are a fun loving, enthusiastic team who have a commitment to providing good quality care. The Nursery Staff promote a happy environment for your child where they can form stable and trusting relationships.
We have a high ratio of nursery Staff ensuring individual attention. This allows time for reading, talking and guidance of your child at this important stage in their development.
We recognise the value of communication with you and your child, through daily exchange of information and Parent consultations we encourage a close relationship between the Nursery and Parents.
The Nursery has three separate units in which the children can grow and develop in their own age groups and at their own pace.
The outside play areas encourage the children’s physical development with plenty of space to run, ride bikes, scooters and cars and climb on the climbing equipment. We have our main playground with mud kitchen, large climbing frame, sand pit, plants, chalk board area and water play. Whilst our baby playground has similar features appropriate for the age range with a new purpose built adventure climbing frame.
Each of our three rooms has a free flow outside space in which to extend their play. With the toddler room boasting their own fort.
Our newest addition is a purpose built Soft Play room with specialist equipment and lighting.
The children have areas in which they can plant their vegetables and flowers and watch them grow.
We have the use of the college playing fields and all weather courts.
There are also quiet areas, playhouses and outdoor musical instruments for children to explore.
